Thanks, Click-Stand!

It's been some time since we last updated.

We want to thank Click-Stand for providing support for our journey. Click-Stand makes kickstands for bikes that require special treatment.

When we rode our tandem bike across America in the summer of 2009, we used an ordinary kickstand that ...well, didn't do the standing and ..well, Tauru wanted to kick it too many times. The length of the bike and the awkward weight distribution of the front and rear panniers "threw the bike off." In other words, it kept falling over. Words were exchanged and ...well, that's all you need to know.

Check out this page on their website for a view of their unique kickstand design. See the tandem at the top? Just behind the stoker's red helmet is the Click-Stand. Since our tandem will probably look like the one shown on the website, it will actually stay standing by itself. Thanks! What an ingenious design!

We really appreciate the support!

The road to sponsorship has been challenging; however, as when we first conceived this project, the MOST important aspect of what we're trying to do is to let people know that disabled folks like us can do amazing things. Stay tuned for upcoming updates because we have some stories to share with you per how we see. Perhaps that will convince you that this ride IS amazing.

Please continue to support our ride by spreading the word--the blind leading the blind duo, Two Blind to Ride, is to ride the Americas in eight to nine months. Whoa, 8 to 9 months?! Yikes. Ummm... we mean, Yay!

Thanks, Click-Stand for your support! An ingenious kickstand design for bikes.
