Rest day. |
Help us reach 1000 "Likes" on Facebook by the time we get to Santiago, Chile (end of Stage 1).
The following morning, we exit Argentina and come to this river crossing.
Tauru looks for a bridge, or a way across.
Welcome to frontier-land! Crossing? Through the river!
Christi checks out the crossing.
Tauru ferries a load across.
Is she getting cold feet?
She carries the trailer...
Is that a smile of happiness or of cold feet?
She continues...
The bike has to cross, too!
Phewwww, we're all across.
We ride to the Chilean border and have to look for the immigration and customs officers. Only a handful of people pass through this border a day.
Christi finds a bed of daisies.
Camp?
After a day "in the office," we set up camp on Punta Rio Grande.
A night next to the river...
We continue the following morning and spot some guanacos (lama guanicoe).
Tauru spots something.
Cute, aren't they?
We pass by a lake... that seems irresistible.
Tauru's got an idea! Camp for the night!
It's early and warm. Christi washes her hair.
Tauru needs to do the same, but we're both stinky. It's been a couple of days since we bathed.
We also do laundry and hang them on the bike to dry.
